  1. Visit streetmedia.biz and select the store(s) in which you want to advertise

Q: How much does it cost to advertise?

A:  Please click here for pricing information
Back to top

Q: Can I advertise in more than one store?

A: Absolutely - you can advertise in as many stores as you like. When you initially select an area or store in which to advertise our system will show you other locations nearby which might also interest you. We recommend you look to try several stores within your target area to maximise the number of local enquiries your receive.

Q: How does the QR response system work? And does it cost me anything?

A:  When you place an in-store ad using the Streetmedia website our system will allocate a unique barcode which will be shown alongside your ad. When people see your ad on the screen they can use a smart phone to capture this unique barcode in order to have your advert sent direct to their mobile phone. This can really boost the response to your ad and will act as a reminder of your offer and will ensure they have your correct contact details. There is no additional charge to you for this service, no matter how many responses you receive!

If you are searching for the store by name you do not need to input the full name so we suggest trying just the first few letters to see if that returns a result. If you've tried this and still can't find the store you're looking for please email us on support@streetmedia.biz giving us as much information as you can about the store and its location and we'll try to find it for you.

Q: My credit / debit card is being rejected

A: There are various reasons why this could be, we ask that you please check the following
  1. That you are entering all the card information correctly including the 'Security Code' on the back of the card (if you are unsure, this is the last 3 digits of the number on the reverse of the card, immediately below the magnetic strip).
  2. That you have entered the exact name and billing address that your credit card company / bank has on file for you. Our payment processors check the details you submit against the credit card company / bank's records and if the details do not match the transaction will be declined.
  3. That you have not used any symbols in your address (for example & or #). For some reason these often cause transactions to be declined even though all the other details are fine. Please replace any symbols with words where possible or simply delete them from the address details.
  4. That you definitely have sufficient funds available
  5. That your card has not expired
If none of the above apply please email us at support@streetmedia.biz and we will investigate further.

Q: I clicked the 'Submit Payment' button twice by mistake when paying by card and am worried I may be double charged

A: If you suspect you may have been charged twice we ask that you wait until you can check your credit / debit card statement to confirm this before contacting us. If by any chance you have been billed twice please email us on support@streetmedia.biz and we will refund you immediately.

Information for Store Owners

Q: How do I get a Streetmedia for my store?

A: Please click here for further information and contact details.

Q: Are there any charges for having a Streetmedia?
A: No there aren't. We install and maintain your Streetmedia for free.

Q: What are the store criteria?

A: There are no fixed criteria but ideally we look for busy convenience stores serving loyal local communities with footfall in excess of 1,000 people per day and an existing postcard-based window display system with 10 or more active advertisers. If this sounds like your store please get in touch on sales@streetmedia.biz
Back to top

Q: Do I need to have broadband in my store in order to have a Streetmedia installed?
A:  No you don't. Each Streetmedia communicates with our central server using a 3G internet connection (similar to what you would find in a mobile phone) meaning that it runs completely independently of any existing internet connection you may have. There are many benefits to this inlcluding no commitment to a long broadband contract and no delays in geting your unit live when it is first installed.

Q: What are the benefits of having a Streetmedia over a postcard window display system?

A: Please click here for a summary of Streetmedia's benefits.

Q: I don't want any 'Massage / Escort' ads appearing in my window, can I be sure that won't happen?

A: Yes, absolutely. We don't allow any adult-oriented services to be advertised on Streetmedia so you can be certain that the content of ads will not be innapropriate for your store. We also have sophisticated content-filtering software in place to block any malicious or offensive adverts from being displayed.

Q: Can I still put postcard ads up in my window alongside my Streetmedia?

A:  Unfortunately we don't allow this as it seriously reduces the long-term earning potential and hence the viability of your Streetmedia. One of the primary aims of Streetmedia is to enhance the appearance of your window display to appeal to a different and higher-spending type of advertiser than those traditionally associated with postcard display ads. Displaying postcard ads at the same time is, in our experience, counter-productive as it discourages the type of advertisers we aim to attract. Each Streetmedia installation involves a considerable investment of time and money on our part so we need to be sure our partnership will be prove lucrative for both parties.

Q: How much will I make from my Streetmedia?

A: This depends on numerous factors including the location of your store, daily footfall, regular customer base etc. You can expect however to significantly increase on any existing postcard display revenue as a result of premium pricing and attracting a wider range of advertisers. We'll be happy to give you an indication of expected revenue once we have some further information about your store.

Q: How do I get paid?

A:  You can elect to be paid either by cheque, electronic transfer or PayPal.

Q: When do I get paid?

A: You'll receive a statement and payment at the end of each month subject to a minimum account balance of £50. If your earnings are less than £50 we'll roll your payment over to the following month.
